Description
As a critical piece of any emergency response system used to preserve lives and property, fire hydrants are designed, built and tested to assure high performance, long life and dependability. Numerous dry and wet barrel designs are available that meet stringent UL/FM requirements, some with maximum working pressures of 350psi.
Following items shall be specified at order time:
- Type of hydrant: Dry barrel, Wet Barrel, Underground
- Inlet size and orientation
- Buried depth length (in Dry Barrel type)
- Material of Construction: Cast Iron, Carbon Steel, Al. Bronze
- Quantity and orientation of outlets including hose connections and/ or pumper connection.
- Type of outlet couplings: BS, NH, Storz
- Hose landing valves type: NRS Gate, OS&Y Gate, Bibnose Globe and Oblique
