Description
A dry pipe sprinkler system is one in which pipes are filled with pressurized air or nitrogen, rather than water. This air holds a remote valve, known as a dry pipe valve, in a closed position. Water then enters the pipe, flowing through open sprinklers onto the fire.
Dry pipe valve model AGD can be installed only in vertical position, is has been designed for sprinklers systems in buildings with freezing temperatures. This system has air under pressure instead of water in the piping above the dry pipe valve. This valve can be reseated easily without using any special tool.
